Clinic Policies

These policies are in place to protect both the clinic and the patient, we recommend all the patients read these before making an appointment.

Medical Emergencies

If you believe you have a serious medical emergency, please go to the nearest Emergency Department.

Fees & Third Party Insurance Coverage

  • Chiropody services are not covered by OHIP. Patients are required to pay for any fees incurred upon completion of the appointment. Receipts are provided for insurance reimbursement and/or income tax purposes.

  • Our initial assessment and treatment is $90. This fee is for the time that the Chiropodist spends understanding your condition as well as performing a treatment for routine foot care.  If the treatment requires special intervention like anesthetic, the cost will be different and details on the additional cost and treatment options will be shared with you before proceeding with the treatment.

  • We are recognized and covered by most insurance companies under your extended healthcare plan. Generally, you can find Chiropody services under the headings “Paramedical Services” or “Orthopedic Supplies and Equipment”.

  • Direct Billing

    • We offer direct billing for some insurance providers.

    • In order to process direct billing claims, patients must sign an electronic transmission authorization and consent form.

    • Across all insurance providers, direct billing does not apply to custom products or special orders such as orthotics, orthopedic footwear, or compression stockings.

Absences, Cancellations, and Lateness

We strive to provide effective and timely service for all our patients. Thus, it is important to inform us of any changes to your schedule.

  • Appointment Cancellations

    • When you schedule an appointment, you are reserving a spot on our schedule that is no longer available to our other patients. Thus, please notify us as soon as you know you will be unable to attend your appointment.

    • If you need to cancel your appointment, we require patients to call at least 24 hours before your appointment.

  • How to Cancel Your Appointment

    • To cancel an appointment, please call us at (905)723-3668. If necessary, leave us a detailed voicemail message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

  • Lateness

    • Please notify us if you believe you will be late to your appointment. We will try our best to accommodate your needs. However, due to increased service demand, if you're 15 minutes or more late for your appointment we may require you to reschedule for a later time or another day. This is to respect the time offered to other patients after you as well as the Chiropodist's schedule.

Refund Policy

  • We do not offer refunds on any of our custom or specialty products such as orthotics, compression stockings, foot creams, and footwear. The deposit you pay at the time of ordering a product is non-refundable.

  • We place the order following your appointment, so it is ready for production immediately.
